Classification of beverages

Generally categorized into non-alcoholic beverages and alcoholic beverages, non-alcoholic beverages are broadly classified as follows:
Carbonated beverages: Sparkling beverages that are formed by mixing carbon dioxide gas with a variety of different flavors, water, syrups, and colors. Like cola, soda, etc. The main ingredients include: carbonated water, citric acid and other acidic substances, sugar, spices, some contain caffeine.
Fruit and vegetable juice drinks: various fruit juices, freshly squeezed juices, vegetable juices, fruit and vegetable mixed juices, etc.
Functional drinks: drinks containing various nutritional elements to meet the special needs of the human body.
Tea drinks: a variety of green tea, black tea, flower tea, oolong tea, wheat tea, herbal tea and iced tea and other drinks. Some contain lemon.
Milk beverages: milk, yogurt, milk tea and other beverages made from fresh milk or dairy products.
Coffee drinks: drinks containing coffee.
Classification of alcoholic beverages:
There are many varieties of alcoholic beverages on the market, with a wide range of brands. Here, they are briefly categorized according to their manufacturing process. According to the manufacturing process, most of the alcohol can be included in these three categories: brewing alcohol, distilled alcohol and configured alcohol.
1. Brewing Liquor
Brewing liquor is an alcoholic beverage produced by fermenting raw materials and cellaring them in certain containers for a certain period of time. The alcohol content of this type of alcohol is generally not high, usually not more than ten percent. This category mainly includes beer, wine and rice wine.
Wine is made from fresh grapes. Depending on the manufacturing process, there are four types of wines: ordinary wines, sparkling wines, alcohol-fortified wines, and blended wines. General wines are red wines, white wines and rosé wines. Sparkling wines are most famously known as Champagne, and only sparkling wines produced in the Champagne region of France can be called Champagne, while those produced in other regions of the world can only be called sparkling wines. Beer is a general term for alcoholic beverages produced by the fermentation of malt, hops, water and yeast. Beer is divided into bottom-fermented beer and top-fermented beer according to the fermentation process. Bottom-fermented beer includes stout, dry beer, light beer, cellar beer and Munich beer, etc. Top-fermented beer includes pale beer, bitter beer, rye beer, Scottish pale ale and other categories.
2、Distilled Spirits
The manufacturing process of distilled spirits generally includes crushing of raw materials, fermentation, distillation and aging of the four processes, this type of alcohol due to distillation and purification, so the alcohol content is higher. According to the different raw materials, can be divided into the following categories.
Chinese white wine. Generally made from wheat, sorghum, corn and other raw materials through fermentation, distillation and aging. There are many varieties of Chinese liquor, and there are several ways to categorize them.
Brandy. A distilled spirit made from fruit as a raw material. Brandy specifically refers to distilled spirits made from grapes. Other brandies include apple brandy and cherry brandy.
Gin. Often called gin according to its English pronunciation, but also called gin and gin, it is a distilled spirit to which spices are added. It is also made by the blending method, and thus is also included in the list of prepared spirits.
Whiskey. Is a distilled spirit made from pre-treated grains. These grains are mainly barley, corn, rye, wheat, or other grains are added. The special process of fermentation and aging gives whiskey its distinctive flavor. Whisky is usually aged in toasted oak barrels. Vodka. Vodka can be made from any fermentable raw material, such as potatoes, barley, rye, wheat, corn, sugar beets, grapes and even sugar cane. Its best feature is that it has no distinctive character, aroma or flavor.
Tequila. Tequila is distilled from the plant agave.
Rum. Rum is made by fermentation and distillation mainly from sugar cane. It is generally divided into light rum, dark rum and aromatic rum.
3、Preparation Liquor
Prepared liquor is made from brewed liquor, distilled liquor or edible alcohol, and various natural or artificial raw materials are added to form the prepared liquor with special color, aroma, taste and type after specific technology treatment.
There are many famous Chinese prepared wines, such as Tiger Bone Wine, Ginseng and Vinegar Wine, and Bamboo Leaf Green.
In foreign countries, there are many kinds of prepared wines, such as aperitifs and liqueurs.
